Stage Rush TV: Episode 2

Talking points:

We had an awesome amount of comments last week. I loved responding to everyone. Please keep them coming this week. In addition, please ask me any questions you’d like me to address or throw out any topics you’d like me to discuss in next week’s episode. I’m taking your suggestions and I’d love for you guys to contribute to the topics list next week!

  1. Very excited to see Episode 2 up! I loved hearing about your backstage experience at Phantom. The passion that jumps out of you when you speak is awesome to see. I've never been backstage in NY, but I have been backstage at Hairspray, Spring Awakening and Wicked, all on tour. Those were really exciting to me and no one else. Thanks for not giving away anything from Next Fall. I just got my tickets for it last night, looking forward to seeing it. As far as grosses for last week go, it was suprising to see ALNM slip, as well as BE which has been slushy... they have $85 tickets for performances through March 7th, which is still expensive but considering the murder they're able to get away with, I guess not so much. Looking forward to next weeks episode!

  2. JESSE! I love this! You are entertaining, funny, and natural in front of the camera! Love the little comments on the bottom...those provided quite a few laughs. Keep it up, and I'll work on getting Stephen to come in and do your lighting design ;)

  3. @Carlos Alvarado: I don't think I'll ever be able to get over my jealousy that you've been backstage for Spring Awakening on tour. That is so cool! How'd you get in? What did you see? Did you talk to any cast members?

  4. @Kym: Thanks so much, Kym! I'm really glad you liked it. Don't the subtitles remind you of our home videos? Haha! I wonder what Stephen thinks about the current lighting.

  5. @Jesse North: Blake Bashoff was playing Moritz on the first leg of the tour at the time, long story but it was through him. He was completely awesome, as were most of the cast members. I'm not sure if it was just because it was the tour or not, but it really wasn't a lot more to see than the sitting on stage experience besides for costumes, but it was still fantastic.

  6. @Carlos Alvarado: That's awesome! Blake Bashoff is great! I would have loved to have gotten backstage time with any of those actors. Stage door conversations can be so awkward. Had a few nice ones, but they're rare. And I dislike feeling awkward, haha! Great to hear you had these great experiences!
